This summer, U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg made his first visit to ���Ĵ�ý.

He was accompanied by U.S. Representative, and ���Ĵ�ý alumna, Emilia Sykes. Together, they toured ���Ĵ�ý's College of Aeronautics and Engineering with Dean Christina Bloebaum, Ph.D., and ���Ĵ�ý President Todd Diacon, Ph.D. There, they saw demonstrations of the college's cutting-edge technology and met with students and several local mayors. 

Later, Diacon, with Alison Caplan, director of the May 4 Visitors Center, led Buttigieg and Sykes on a tour of the center.
