Voting by mail (absentee voting) offers a convenient way to participate in elections, whether you're in Ohio or another state. Be sure to pay close attention to deadlines and guidelines to ensure your vote is received and counted on time.
Early in-person voting gives you the opportunity to cast your ballot before Election Day. It begins Tuesday, October 6, 2026.
If you’re studying abroad, you can still participate in U.S. elections by requesting an overseas ballot. The deadlines for voting while abroad vary by the state where you’re registered.

Members of the university community and the public are welcome to observe the public consideration of matters and the transaction of business by the ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ Board of Trustees. Your interest in the university’s welfare is appreciated.
We recognize that many different offices, departments, and organizations host programs that provide information concerning the upcoming election and the voting process. The ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ Votes Coalition keeps a running calendar of nonpartisan events and programs where members of the university community may learn about how to participate in the process, learn about what will appear on the ballot, or understand the importance of engaging in electoral politics.
To allow for as many students as possible to learn about the voting process, including registering to vote and the options they have to complete and submit ballots, we are offering a form that allows any student organization, course instructor, or program advisor/facilitator to request an informational presentation by either one or multiple members of the ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ Votes coalition OR a voter information table.

Precinct Election Officials are hired by Ohio county Boards of Election to ensure that elections are run fairly and impartially and conducted according to Ohio law; with ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ being located in Portage County, we provide our university community with information on how to become a Precinct Election Official here
A stipend-based student leader position in the Civic and Community Engagement area of the Center for Student Involvement focused on voting and political engagement; two students are hired every year.
